<p>The decision, which was taken at a meeting of the “Uchhadhikar Samiti” (high-powered committee) of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and saints from across the country at Ayodhya, comes close on the heels of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s decision to ask Muslim contestants to approach the apex court against the verdict.<br /><br />“The division of the disputed land is not at all acceptable to us. The entire land belongs to Ram Lalla and should be given to the deity for the construction of a grand Ram Temple,” the Shankaracharya of Badrikashram Peeth, Swami Vasudevananda Sarswati, said. <br /><br />He made it clear that the struggle of the saints for the disputed land would continue until the land was given to Ram Lalla. VHP international president Ashok Singhal, who was also present at the meeting, said Ram Lalla Virajman’s (the deity of Lord Rama at the makeshift temple at disputed site) claim extended to the entire 70 acres of the land and not merely to 130 feet by 90 feet land of the “garbha griha.”<br /><br />“The court was supposed to decide the title of the entire land and not merely the land of Lord Rama’s birth place,” Singhal said. The VHP leader said a delegation of the saints would soon meet the Prime Minister and urge him to take steps for enacting parliamentary legislation, paving the way for the construction of Ram Temple.</p>
