Yashwant Sinha put on pace maker

Last Updated 09 February 2012, 20:25 IST

Former Union minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, a couple of days ago following complaints of chest pain.

Doctors at AIIMS have inserted a pace maker which has normalised the functioning of his heart, but the 74-year-old Sinha continues to be under observation.

Sinha’s party colleague and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj  and a few other BJP leaders from Hazaribagh called on the former finance minister at the hospital on Thursday.
