Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis has asked the assistant commissioner to submit a detailed report on the entry of T R Uma, former executive officer of Kollur Mookambika Temple, to Laxmi Mantapa.
Laxmi Mantapa is open only for priests and restricted for others. The entry of the officer has kicked up a controversy. A video clip showing her entering the mantapa located outside the sanctum sanctorum went viral on social media on October 17.
