Inspired by the hues under the sea, Pantone announced ‘living coral’ as the colour of 2019. It said, “Just as coral reefs are a source of sustenance and shelter to sea life, vibrant yet mellow living coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment.” It’s time to incorporate the colour of the year into your wardrobes and vanity and we couldn’t be less electrified. Living coral is an enlivening colour that can add an element of pop to any outfit you choose. Be it clothes or accessories, living coral can be incorporated everywhere. Let’s have a look at six easy ways to imbibe ‘living coral’ into your wardrobe:

This wedding season, awaken your inner sea goddess and sport a dress in this bright shade to a ceremony only to turn heads around. You can also go in for a fusion dress that is a perfect blend of fashion and tradition.

One of the most interesting facts about living coral is that it fits well with all kinds of complexions. Whether you are fair-skinned, dark-skinned or have a wheatish complexion, one can sport this shade anyhow. Invest in an asymmetrical tunic that you can wear for a casual outing or a movie date. You can team it up with a black or white trouser or also wear it with denim, depending upon how you want to dress: formal or casual.

Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 was ‘ultra violet’ and we witnessed many celebrities carrying the colour en vogue. Newlywed Priyanka Chopra was seen wearing ultra violet lips to various events and we went head over heels over the bold look. However, leaving that trend behind, living coral has come ahead of the fashion game and we know what to add to our beauty kit. A coral colour lipstick is what we are looking at for a subtle and sophisticated appearance.

Other than apparel and cosmetics, you can also go for footwear in the same shade. From elite looking pumps to casual flip-flops, you can team up these shoes with dark coloured outfits like black or navy blue. In case you are feeling too bold, you can also go with bright shades of yellow and white.

If you are not too confident about the shoes, maybe you can append the trend to your wardrobe by adding a coral bag. From carrying a sophisticated handbag to a casual sling bag, you can team it up with any dark or bright shade and look very contemporary and pop.

While Apple remained ahead of the fashion game by releasing iPhone XR in living coral colour, we also witnessed the shade being a big hit amongst international celebrities who wore it to prestigious events. However, if you are not very sure about an entirely coral dress, you can definitely go for jewellery in the same shade. Jewellery helps in accessorising up an outfit and one could never go wrong with huge earrings. We suggest going for big hoops in coral that can be easily worn along with a dark shaded apparel.
