Repolling in 5 polling centres in Andhra Pradesh has been peaceful so far.  In all 5064 voters are expected to cast their votes. Police have provided tight security considering the large scale violence that took place in Narsaraopet Assembly segment where alleged YSRCP activists roughed up Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on 11 April.
 
 The re-polling has been held in the presence of the returning officer and other two officials from 7 am to 6 pm. "All the arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the polls." said Chief Electoral Officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi.  Kesanupalli of Narasaraopet segment, Nallacheruvu of West Guntur, Isukapalli of Pallepalem under Kovvuru segment, Atakanithippa under Sullurupeta segment, Kalanuthalapadu under Yarrakondapalem segment are undergoing repolling.
 
Tension prevailed in Nallachervu with the police ordering the local shopkeepers to shut down during polling time. Locals started protesting with the police imposing a near curfew-like situation and closing down the Guntur-Parchur and also Guntur-Prathipadu road. However, polling has been peaceful without any untoward incident.
