AICC general secretary incharge of Karnataka K C Venugopal is arriving in Bengaluru on Sunday to take stock of the party campaign in the byelections to Kundgol and Chincholi Assembly seats.
After arriving in Bengaluru, he is scheduled to visit Hubballi on Sunday and will hold a meeting with the party leaders incharge of the Kundgol bypoll campaign. He is also scheduled to take stock of the campaign in Chincholi seat by visiting Kalaburagi on Monday.
The byelection to the two Assembly seats is scheduled on May 19. Winning the bypoll is crucial for the JD(S)-Congress coalition government in order to shore up its numbers in the Assembly.
