Man gets life term for wife’s murder

The principal district and sessions court has awarded life imprisonment to a man for murdering his wife.

The court has slapped a fine of Rs 15,000 on the man, Paramesh.

Paramesh used to demand money from his wife so that he could consume alcohol. On April 27, 2016, he had a scuffle over money with his wife Shruthi. Later, in a fit of rage, he hit her with a kerosene lamp and set her on fire. The woman later died in a hospital on account of her injuries.

The Gonibeedu police filed a case and submitted a charge sheet against Paramesh.
