Director Sandeep Janardan’s debut film as director, ‘Face 2 Face’, is as real as it can get because it deals with issues that people experience and face on a daily basis.

Talking about the title, Sandeep, says, “There are two issues that blend into this title. One is what happens when people come face to face with multiple issues in their life -- which one would they accord more priority to? The second interpretation points towards people with two faces. A two-sided personality.” The film also throws light on how people must bravely face tough times and not run away from it,” he says.

Asked why Sandeep began his career with an offbeat film and not a commercial variety, he says, “Newcomers like me can’t make a dent in the Kannada film industry if we start at a commercial level. Small films with a new subject and fresh faces remain longer,” he adds.

The film features newcomers as Sandeep thought that they would be able to emote the characters better than anybody else. “Newcomers are easy to work with because they look at characters and the scripts without any pre-conceived notions,” he says.

The film throws light on real problems that people come face to face with. “It talks about the importance of relationships and how one should balance problems related to career and relationships,” adds Sandeep. The film features the city life in all its facets.

The music has made been by a Mumbai-based band called Rk Khwaab, “This band brings in new sounds, new rhythm and a new feel to the whole story. They lend a fresh perspective to music itself,” he adds.
