Author

Amish Tripathi

‘The Immortals of Meluha’ by Amish Tripathi is my favourite read. The book delves into Indian mythology and traditions based on Lord Shiva. Every chapter has interesting twists and turns. I also grab anything that catches my attention. I enjoy reading as long as the book keeps me engaged.”

Actor

Nawazuddin Siddiqui

“I closely follow the work of Saurabh Shukla, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte and Irrfan Khan. I find the films by Nawazuddin Siddiqui particularly impressive. He makes sure that he never repeats his role. Coming to Hollywood, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and among the women Scarlett Johansson top the list. They each have a unique style. My favourite films include ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, ‘Gravity’, ‘The Revenant’ and Cast Away.”

Travel

London

“My favourite destination is London. The city has a different vibe to it. People there are well dressed. The culture is unique, open and full of life. The two things that I never forget to do whenever I am in London is to shop and experiment with the food. This is one place that I would like to return to over and over again.”

Music

Coldplay

“My all-time favourite International music artist is Coldplay. I enjoy listening to their songs which is not only catchy, fun but also has some interesting lyrics. Coming to Hindi music, I am a big A R Rahman. Songs like ‘Ishq bina kiya jeena yaro’ from ‘Taal’ and ‘Kehna Hi Kya’ from Bombay are timeless pieces.”

Inspiration

Aslam Khan

“My father Aslam Khan is my biggest strength and inspiration. He has been a mentor and guide at every step and has helped me make the right decisions at the right time. He has always taught me to stay on the right path and do the right thing, no matter what the provocation. My father inspires me to keep at my dreams even if I am feeling low. This is one advice that has helped me stay focused.”

Food

Wazwan

“I am a big foodie. I relish all the dishes from my mother’s kitchen. Nobody can make Kashmiri food as well as she can. ‘Wazwan’, a Kashmiri dish tops the list. Other than that, I like trying out different dishes. I have a big sweet tooth and I am fond of Bengali sweets such as Mishti Doi, Sandesh and Kheer Kadam.”
