About his partnership with Vishal and their dosti, he says, “We have been friends for 15 years and making music for 12. He is very close to me.”

“Through this concert, we really hope to make a difference in people’s lives because we are here not only to make music but to celebrate our friendship. We want to touch people with our music. When people tell us how our music changes their lives, it is a humbling feeling,” he adds.

On making music, he says, “I am a very spiritual guy. If I am working and I am not able to make music, I ask him for help and I get it. I always look up to him in times of grief or joy, He gives me great solace and I am always grateful.”

The duo is currently working on the Dosti anthem which is specially for their fans and close buddies. Shekhar says, “We are currently working on the anthem and it should be out in a week. We really hope that people would love it because it is a special song for friends and also celebrates the McDowell’s spirit of dosti.”

They are touring cities across the country and spreading their music. Says Shekhar, “We have performed in cities where we had never performed before. The feeling is just too good to express, the crowds were just so happy.” He even recollects the first time they performed their new hit, Chammak Challo in Patna. He says, “We thought we would perform Chammak Challo in Patna for the first time. We were amazed when the audience kept asking for encore. We sang it thrice for them. That same day Ra.One’s music had been launched and it was amazing for us.”

He and Vishal are working on their next album which should be out soon but for now he wants to keep grooving to Chammak Challo and wait for their Dosti
