Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), floated by actor Kamal Haasan has been registered as an unrecognised state political party by the Election Commission on Friday.
The development comes two days after the actor met officials at the Election Commission regarding registration of the party. The formalities of submitting documents required for registration of Makkal Needhi Maiam was submitted on Wednesday evening.
The actor had launched Makkal Needhi Maiam in February this year.
