Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has come out with his own interpretation of the movie 'Avengers: Endgame' relating it to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and predicted that it was game over for the BJP.

''Over the past five years BJP has destroyed every pillar of democracy...but the endgame has begun....mahagahtbandhan sarkar (grand alliance government) coming soon,'' Akhilesh said in a post on his Twitter handle.

Though the SP president did not elaborate on how the ''endgame'' for the BJP would come, he, apparently feels that his alliance comprising SP, BSP and the RLD represented the team of the superheroes and prime minister Narendra Modi was 'Thanos'.

The SP leader also sought to corner Modi over what he alleged his (Modi) ''silence'' over derogatory comments on the BSP supremo Mayawati and on himself by the BJP leaders.

''You (Modi) remained silent, when derogatory comments were made against Mayawatiji....you also remained silent, when the grand alliance was likened to insects....you also remained silent, when the chief minister (Adityanath) said that I would have been shepherding cattle had it not been for the constitution,'' Akhilesh said in a Twitter message.

Modi, who addressed a rally at Kannauj from where Akhilesh's wife Dimple Yadav was in the fray, sought to counter Akhilesh by saying that he (Modi) did not belong to the backward caste. ''I want every caste to move forward and become upper caste,'' Modi said in the rally
