While in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, NCP won four seats, Kudke won in the 2018 bye-election.

Bhosale is a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Mohite-Patil is a former minister.

The set was earlier held by BJP's Nana Patole, who was elected defeating Praful Patel. Patole had raised a banner of revolt against the BJP leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah and resigned.

Besides, the five who was getting the tickets again, the NCP has finalised a few other names.

These are likely Sunil Tatkare, the former state unit chief, who will contest from Raigad, Sanjeev Naik from Thane and Sameer Bhujbal from Nashik.
