The website www.schoolwiki.in to be launched on Kerala Formation Day will have information on all schools in Kerala along with learning resources. “This is for the first time in India that a state government is coming out with a customised version of Wiki for all schools,” said K Anvar Sadath, executive director of IT@School, which is behind the portal.
“The innovative portal would include the learning outcomes of students derived from group activities as well as various educational content prepared by the teacher groups,” he said. Each school can enter its basic elementary data, historical references, statistics, infrastructure details, details of alumni, school websites and blogs, clubs and forums, class magazines, supporting images and videos. Analytical language projects such as a school newsletter, local encyclopedia and ‘Ente Nadu’ would help in learning Malayalam.
