Kerala woman to float in water for 60 hours

S Sugisha, doing a airhostess course in Kollam, would start her record attempt at 9 am tomorrow at a private swimming pool near here. During the exercise, which will end at 9 pm on December 11, she would also undertake meditation.

She said she had already done the feat of floating in the water for 50 hours in Kerala with a ten minute break every hour.The existing record was 53 hours done by a man, she said.

Sugisha, whose parents hail from Mahe, an enclave of Union Territory of Puducherry in Kerala, said she had hit upon the idea to bring to focus the the effectiveness of yoga and meditation.

Puducherry Home and Health Minister E Valsaraj would inaugurate the woman's initiative.
