The weather office predicted more showers during the day.
Delhi has received 28.4 mm of rainfall since Tuesday, taking the total so far to 223.1 mm which is 15 percent more than the average rainfall.

Delhi Traffic Police Wednesday reported jams in some parts of the capital while it was smooth in other areas. Traffic signals were not working in some areas.
The rains cooled the city and the minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal. The humidity was 85 percent.

"There will be generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rains or thundershowers Wednesday. The maximum will hover around 32 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum temperature Tuesday dipped five notches below average to 30 degrees.
Commuters Tuesday had a harrowing time on Delhi roads as incessant rains led to waterlogging, resulting in traffic snarls and breakdown of vehicles in many areas.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) had received 60 calls about waterlogging and trees falling.
