The Delhi High Court on Monday rejected a plea for interim bail by former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia in the liquor policy scam case.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma, however, allowed him to visit his wife between 10 am and 5 pm on a convenient day.

It also directed Sisodia not to interact with anyone else except his family members.

It also told the Delhi Police to ensure that there is no media gathering where Sisodia goes to meet his wife.

Sisodia would not be allowed to use the mobile phone or internet, the court said while directing the best possible medical treatment to his wife.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26. He also faced a money laundering case probed by the Enforcement Directorate.

The probe agency opposed a plea for six weeks interim bail sought by Sisodia, saying his wife has been suffering from the degenerative disease for over two decades.

The six-week bail will make no difference to her but only to Sisodia, it contended.
