<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Saturday hailed as a "visionary" and the "most popular and loved" leader in the country by several senior judicial officers, including a sitting judge of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court.</p>.<p>The praise came during a virtual event celebrating the diamond jubilee of the Gujarat High Court, where Modi released a postal stamp commemorating its 60 years of existence.</p>.<p>"I feel proud and privileged to participate in the release of the commemorative stamp, that too by our most popular, loved, vibrant and visionary leader, honourable Prime Minister Narendabhai Modi," said Supreme Court judge Mukesh R Shah.</p>.<p>Justice Shah was a judge in the high court, who was elevated to the Patna High Court as chief justice before being promoted to the Supreme Court in 2018.</p>.<p>He added, "One of the most important tenets of our Constitution is the separation of powers — between the judiciary, executive and the legislature — which has always been upheld by the Gujarat High Court." He wound up quickly because "we have to hear and listen to our most loved, honourable Prime Minister".</p>.<p>Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court Vikram Nath also praised Modi's leadership. "This is the forum of justice and in the context of Gujarat, I want to mention our popular Prime Minister as a highly followable example of justice. Modiji's sense of justice towards his duties has played a major role in his popularity," he said adding, "A just leadership keeps its citizens inspired."</p>.<p>Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta said that, "Under the Prime Minister's vibrant leadership, our great nation has already commenced its journey to become the Vishwa Guru (world's teacher)."</p>.<p>Kamal Trivedi, Advocate General, Gujarat High Court, called Modi a "passionate and dynamic" leader "who has made the whole world take note of the emergence of new India". Even during the pandemic, his confidence and conviction have inspired and galvanised the entire nation, Trivedi said.</p>.<p>On the occasion, the prime minister said the judiciary has always strengthened the Constitution by its constructive and positive interpretation. "Be it the protection of rights of countrymen, the question of personal liberty, or the circumstances when national interest had to be given the highest priority, the judiciary understood and fulfilled these obligations," he said.</p>.<p>The Gujarat High Court was established in May 1960 after the formation of Gujarat as a state. The celebrations, originally planned in May last year, were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.</p>
