We are free and relieved: Trinamool's Union Minister

Soon after Trinamool Congress decided to pull out of UPA, its minister in the union government Sultan Ahmed said the party was feeling "free and relieved".

"We are free now and we will go alone across the country. We will go under our leader Mamata Banerjee," the Minister of State for Tourism said here.

He said that by continuing in the government, Trinamool Congress was being accused of being "partners of looters" as there were so many scams during UPA rule.

"We were being called as the partners of looters. There have been been so many scams like the 2G, Commonwealth Games scam and coal scam," Ahmed said.

Asked if Trinamool Congress would seek resignation of the Prime Minister, he said "the Prime Minister should resign on his own and why should we demand it."
