New seer to open info centre for villagers at Manakwad

Shri Siddharama Devaru, who will be coronated as the pontiff of Guru Annadanishwar Devamandir Mahamutt at Manakwad-Hirevaddatti in Annigeri taluk, stated that he would open an information centre at the Mutt to help villagers get information as per their need.

"Many villagers do not know how to get information through internet, or to get various works done online. A computer with internet connection has been arranged at the mutt, to help the villagers in this regard, as our mutt is also in a village," he said.

Niranjana Pattadhikara of Shri Siddharama Devaru will be held at the Mutt on February 18 early morning, and he will get the new name as 'Shri Abhinava Mruthyunjaya Swamiji'. Various seers in the region will be present on the occasion.

"We have plans to open Goshala and Gurukul, and to give shelter for needy elders, at the Mutt. Dasoha (mass feeding) will also be strengthened. Free health check-up camps will be organised every month," he told media persons here on Thursday.

Shri Savalagishwar Devaru of of Tubachi said, as part of Niranjana Charapattadhikara Mahotsava, valedictory of Basava Purana programme would be held on February 15 at 6:00 pm.

A farmers' convention would be held on February 16 at 10:00 am, and a harmony meet would be held at 6:00 pm. Youth convention, blood donation camp, and women's convention would be held on February 17. Seers, elected representatives, and others would attend these programmes, he added.
