Tuluvere Tulipu at Jappinamogaru

Coastalwood Artistes and Technicians Cultural Association (CATCA) will organise ‘Tuluvere Tulipu’ at Jaya-Vijaya Jodukare Kambala field at Jappinamogaru on July 22.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Association President Praveen Kumar Kodialbail said that rural folk games of Tulu Nadu will be held for the Coastalwood Artistes and Technicians on the occasion.

It is an attempt to create awareness on culture and tradition of Tulu Nadu. Competitions like tug-of-war, lemon and spoon race, volleyball, treasure hunt in slushy field, passing the ball, buffalo race, sack race and others will be held. In addition, idli eating competition to will be organised, he added.

For the public, competition on delicacies of Tulu Nadu will be held. In the afternoon, around 1,000 people will be served ganji and five varieties of chutney along with other traditional delicacies of Tulu Nadu, he said.

Tulu Nadu achievers Raj B Shetty, Suhan Prasad, Sooraj Kumar and Dheeraj Neermarga will be felicitated on the occasion. Kannada cine actor Leelavathi and her son Vinod Raj have promised to attend the programme, he added.
