Pejawar seer Vishwesha Theertha Swami said that he had two opinions on the Supreme Court’s direction to resolve the Ayodhya dispute through mediation.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he said: “I wish the mediation succeeds. When it is true that Ram Mandir existed there, what then is the need for mediation?” he queried.
“There is no connection between the Lok Sabha elections and the Ram Mandir issue. The mediation should be accepted by both communities. If the issue is not solved, then let the court take a decision,” the seer` added.
“The Supreme Court has appointed Ravishankar Guru as a mediator. I will support him in his efforts. There should not be any delay in the construction of Ram Mandir,” he said.
