When one is considering assistive reproduction or help with fertility, some terms need to be known like ovarian reserve and Anti-Mullerian hormone, what do they mean? Today we are joined by well-known gynaecologist Dr Haritha Rao to tell us more.

Ahmed: What is Ovarian reserve, can you explain that to our audience?

Dr Haritha: Ovarian reserve is nothing but a fancy word for in a lay man's term it is called an egg count. Every woman is born with a certain amount of eggs. She is born with millions of eggs. And as she reached the age of menarche that is 13-14 years of age and from the time she reached menopause that is about 48 to 50 years in an Indian woman, the egg count depletes...
