<p>With the chief minister expected to visit Talacauvery on the occasion of Tula Sankramana on October 17, the security in the region has been tightened.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The ‘Theerthodbhava’ will be held at 6.43 pm and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will witness the event.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Preparations are underway to set up the necessary barricades, provide bus facilities and parking space as thousands of devotees will be present on the auspicious occasion.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The barricades has been already installed to prevent rush of devotees while collecting sacred ‘teertha’ at Talacauvery. Bus facility has been provided for the Madikeri – Bhagamandala – Talacauvery route,” said Talacauvery, Bhagamandala Temple managing committee chairman B S Thammaiah.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Food and water</p>.<p class="bodytext">“Preparations are being made to provide meals for devotees attending the Talacauvery fair. Also, drinking water supply systems and temporary toilets have been set up for the occasion,” he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He further said that the Kannada and Culture Department will organise cultural programmes for the occasion. CCTV cameras have installed as a precautionary measure, said Thammaiah.</p>.<p class="bodytext">DyDP Sundar Raj has said that as many as 600 police personnel, 150 NCC cadets, three deputy superintendents of police 10 inspectors, 22 sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors along with eight Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) platoons will be deployed for safety purposes.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Parking</p>.<p class="bodytext">“Separate parking space has been arranged at Talacauvery. Signboards have also been installed.
