Residents of Golaghat village and family members of Lovlina Borgohain burst into celebration after she bagged gold medal in IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship 2023. Family members celebrated her victory by distributing sweets. Lovlina clinched her maiden World Championship gold medal on March 26 defeating Australia’s Caitlin Parker with a 5-2 scoreline in a 75 kg bout.
