Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has etched his name on a lot of records by virtue of his magnificent bowling. On Sunday, during the second day of the second Test against England, he added another feather to his crown.

When he took the wicket of England all-rounder Ben Stokes, he surpassed Harbhajan Singh and became the second-highest wicket-taker in Tests in India. He has bagged 266 Test wickets on home soil in 45 matches at an average of 22.64. Compared to Ashwin, Harbhajan took 265 wickets in 55 matches at an average of 28.77.

Legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble leads the chart with 350 wickets in 63 matches. The other names in this list are Kapil Dev, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhagwat Chandrasekhar, Bishan Singh Bedi, Javagal Srinath, Zaheer Khan, Vinoo Mankad.
