Indian women succumbed to their second consecutive defeat in the World T20 after losing to England in their Group B clash by five wickets on Wednesday.

Batting first, India made a modest 95/9 in 20 overs with only Mithali Raj contributing with 57.

The target was never going to bother England as they chased down the runs with 11 balls to spare.

Brief scores: India: 95/9 in 20 overs (Mithali Raj 57; Anya Shrubsole 3-6, Jenny Gunn 3-15) lt to England: 98/5 in 18.1 overs (Sarah Taylor 28, Soniya Dabir 2-21). West Indies: 115 all out in 20 overs (Deandra Dottin 34; Salma Khatun 2-11, Khadija Kubra 3-24) bt Bangladesh: 79 all out in 17.3 overs (Tremayne Smartt 2-9, Shaquana Quintyne 3-5).
