Sports Hostel thump listless Ambedkar

The match between Ambedkars’ tall line-up of power forwards against the short and nimble shooting guards of Sports Hostel was pegged to be a close encounter but Sports Hostel dominated right through.

The Hostelites took a first-quarter lead of 19-11. MR Varun (30) and Jairaj (23) powered Hostel and further extended the lead to 55-39 at half time.

Adil (27) spurred Ambedkar in the third quarter with a good performance but Sports Hostel just kept coming harder. The final quarter saw Hostel score 17 points to Ambedkars’ seven points to complete the formalities. In another match, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited registered a comfortable 65-57 win over Young Orions.

Sachindra (24) and Markesh (17) top-scored for the winners while Siddharth (16) and Pratheek (12) scored the bulk of the points for Orions.
