Celebrations have not yet stopped at the house of Aishwarya, a student of Marimallappa College, who secured 618 marks following her revaluation results, turning out to be a state topper. Another girl, Amulya L has shared the honour with her. After revaluation, Amulya, a SSLC student of VVS Pandit Nehru High School, Mysore has secured 618 marks, equalling that of the State topper.

Amulya had initially secured a total of 611 marks. She had scored 93 in English and 97 in third language Kannada. Dissatisfied with the marks given to her, she applied for revaluation only to discover her marks in English and Kannada, after the process, standing at 98 and 99 respectively, taking the total to 618.

Amulya is the daughter of Kiran Kumar, an employee of BEML, Mysore. A bright student since her childhood, Amulya was confident being an SSLC topper, always. Naturally, when the results were announced, she was rather depressed.

Her parents decided to apply for a revaluation only after Amulya evinced confidence that she had certainly done better in English and Kannada languages.

Amulya’s parents Kirankumar and Sharon Kiran were jubilant on Saturday and shared the news with press persons. With this, Mysore has, somewhat, claimed the space it always had as far as SSLC toppers are concerned. Only, it took some revaluation to discover the joy.
