AP seeks info on Naidu’s hotel bill

The Andhra Pradesh government is learnt to have sought details from the state on the hotel expenses incurred by its Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the swearing-in of H D Kumaraswamy.

According to reports, Naidu’s hotel bill ran up to
Rs 9 lakh during his stay in Bengaluru on May 23-24. However, the Andhra government has now raised questions about the veracity of the bill. Andhra protocol director has even suspected irregularities on the part of officials and has sought an inquiry, sources said.

According to an RTI reply, Naidu checked into the Taj West End on May 23 at
9.49 am and checked out on May 24 at 5.34 am and ran up a bill of Rs 8,72,485.
