A man from Bangalore was found hanging at a lodge in the city on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Kantaraju, 52, a resident of Rajajinagar in Bangalore.
He owned a travel agency and loss in business is suspected to be the reason for his extreme step. He had checked into the lodge on Old Bank Road on April 8.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning. Police said the victim’s daughter, a student of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), helped them identify the body. The police said Kantaraju had left behind a suicide note saying no one was responsible for his death.
Lashkar police have registered a case.
