BJP demands transfer of Mandya DC

The state BJP unit has filed a complaint with Election Commission seeking the transfer of Mandya DC and returning officer, N Manjushree, and central general observer Ranjeeth for rendering “undue official favour to the ruling coalition party”.

In the plaint, BJP spokesperson Go Madhusudan and party MLA C T Ravi, have alleged irregularities during the scrutiny of papers of Nikhil in Mandya. They said Nikhil’s nomination papers had errors, and had sought for the same to be rejected. “Massive illegalities have taken place to cover up the lacuna,” BJP said in its complaint.
