Central team visits flood-affected districts

A team led by Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary O Ravi visited Hacholli, Yerragudi, and T S Kadlur villages of Siruguppa taluk in Bellary district.

The team later visited the Daroji Lake in Kampli taluk which breached due to heavy rains, and a few gruel centres at Suggenehalli. It is scheduled to visit Koppal district on Thursday.
The second team led by Central Water Resources Department Director Jacob toured the flood-affected districts of Bagalkot and Gadag. They inspected the damage caused by the Bennihalla, and met a few affected people. On Thursday too, the team would be touring the two districts.

The third team led by Central Oil Seeds Director D R Gurumukhi visited several villages in Gulbarga district. They visited the Halagadla tank in Jewargi taluk, which as breached following heavy rains. Standing crop in over 2,000 acres was washed away due to the breach. The team also visited Katti Sangavi, Jewargi, Sigaratalli, and other nearby villages and obtained information from the farmers. After holding an officials meeting at Jewargi, the team left for Shahpur and Surpur taluks.
