Additional Civil and Sessions Court judge C B Hipparagi posted the complaint to that date for further hearing of the sworn statement of Vinod Kumar.

Kumar submitted that the aunt of H D Revanna (Deve Gowda's son) had purchased 22 acres from some Scheduled Caste persons violating Prevention of Transfer of Certain Lands (PTCL) Act and later sold it to Revanna in 2006 when H D Kumaraswamy was the chief minister.

He contended that it was actually Revanna who purchased the land in the name of his aunt and that the sale-deed effected later was "an eyewash". The value of the land runs into crores of rupees at current rates, he said.

Kumar further submitted that Kumaraswamy purchased 24 acres from small and poor farmers in Kethimarenahalli in violation of rules.

He has so far submitted his sworn statements in four allegations. On March 23, the court had recorded his sworn statement in two allegations involving illegal purchase of land.
