Late on Thursday night, the Congress-JD(S) combine herded out its MLA-elects from the Eagleton Golf Resort and Shangri La Hotel in the city.

The two parties, which are on a panic mode following the BJP's move to poach their MLA-elects, decided to move them outside Bengaluru.

The parties were earlier planning to fly out the legislators to Kochi in Kerala. The JD(S) had even kept three chartered flights ready to ferry the leaders. This plan was, however, foiled as the parties failed to obtain the required permissions to fly out.'

The Congress leaders were led out of the Eagleton Resort in two buses by Vokkaliga strongman D K Shivakumar at around 11.30 pm. It is rumoured that the party is taking its MLA-elects to Hyderabad.

Shortly after, the JD(S) leaders too left the Shangri La Hotel along with their party leader H D Kumaraswamy.

Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil too was part of the entourage. It is rumoured that the JD(S) is taking its MLA-elects to Hyderabad.

The parties have charged the BJP with tapping phones of all its leaders to track their movements.
