Last Updated 25 April 2019, 14:21 IST

BJP state general secretary and MLA, C T Ravi has said that the coalition government in Karnataka would collapse soon as the Congress had been conspiring against Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Ravi said that Congress leaders including Siddaramaiah, M B Patil, D K Shivakumar and Parameshwara were waiting in queue for the chief minister's post. Siddaramaiah and his supporters are indirectly supporting the BJP in Tumkur, Hassan, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and other constituencies.

Ravi said that the Congress should withdraw its manifesto which seeks to dilute sedition law (IPC section 124 A), as well as weaken Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, which will only weaken the resolve to combat terror in the country.

He said that the AICC president and Congress should come clear on the nationality of Rahul Gandhi. "There are discrepancies regarding citizenship and educational qualifications of Rahul Gandhi in the election affidavit submitted by him."
