Last Updated 14 January 2019, 08:50 IST

Congress Campaign Committee chairman H K Patil on Thursday claimed that his partymen are not putting any political pressure on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Speaking to reporters, Patil downplayed the reported comments of Kumaraswamy working under pressure, owing to the alleged interference from its coalition partner, the Congress. “The elected members may be putting pressure on the chief minister with regard to development and constituency-related works. There can be no other pressure on the chief minister from our party, other than on these matters.”

He, however, said that the leaders of both parties would amicably resolve disputes, if any. “If there are any such minor problems, he (Kumaraswamy) can discuss them with our leaders and solve them,” he added. According to reports, Kumaraswamy, during a recent meeting with party legislators had told them that he was working under pressure, due to continued interference from the Congress.
