Results of all the 8 assembly segments were gathered by 3 pm but officially the results were announced at around 7 pm.
Difference of opinion had surfaced between observer Kuldeep Singh and returning officer Anwar Pash which delayed the announcement of the result. Later on at 7.15 pm the returning officer officially announced the result and handed over the certificate to Moily.
Celebration
His supporters and party workers celebrated victory by bursting fire crackers and distributing sweets. A procession was taken out in the main streets of the City.
