Appeal to open Indira Canteen in Chikkamagaluru

Ahinda members submit a memorandum to DC M K Srirangaiah in Chikkamagaluru on Tuesday.

Demanding initiation of measures to open Indira canteen in Chikkamagaluru district, Ahinda members submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner M K Srirangaiah on Tuesday. 

The memorandum said that the Indira Canteen project was initiated by the previous Congress-led government in the state to help the poor. The canteens have been functioning in different parts of the state. Unfortunately, the project is lying neglected in Chikkamagaluru district, stated the memorandum. 

The inauguration of Indira canteen will benefit poor labourers and students. Vedike President D C Puttue Gowda, Honorary President B S Prashanth and others were present.
