Cattle trader murder: CID ADGP visits Udupi

CID ADGP Charan Reddy visited Udupi in connection with the murder of the cattle trader Hussainabba.

A team of officials led by CID DySP Chandrashekhar visited Hiriyadka police station and collected information about the murder. The team also visited the area where the victim was found murdered. The officer also visited the house of the slain victim in Jokatte.

The ADGP also visited the Hiriyadka police stations and other places in connection with the murder and have collected crucial information. He had talks with Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi.

The victim was found murdered on May 30 at Shenarabettu in Perdur while he was taken away in the police jeep following the attack by Bajrang Dal activists. The body was thrown near Shenarabettu by the police and the Bajrang Dal activists. The murder is considered as a custodial death as it took place in a police jeep.

The police have arrested 11 including three police personnel, sub inspector of Hiriyadka police station D N Kumar, his jeep driver Gopal and head constable Mohan Kotwal in connection with the case.
