Sudden downpour caught many unaware in the city on Thursday soaking every nook and corner, and throwing normal life out of gear for nearly two hours.

Two persons were injured when the mud wall of a hose collapsed near Bilal Masjid inUdayagiri. One among them is identified as Kiran, while another could not be identified.

They were treated as outpatients at K R Hospital. Though it had begun to drizzle in some parts of the city at 4 pm, at some other parts in the radius of Palace, it began to rain all of a sudden inundating every sloping place on the roads, besides forcing vehicular riders to stop to a screeching halt and run for cover.

The either side of Sitavilasa road and Ramavilasa road, N Madhavarao circle, Siddappa Square, and not to forget K R Circle was turned into a deluge. The painters at Mysore City Corporation (MCC) who were busy giving a fresh coat to the imposing building had to abandon work and wait for the rain god to recede.

The waterlogged area inside the compound made it difficult for the vehicles to move out. However, for a bunch of girls rain was no hindrance, as they had umbrellas as a cover.
