Bengaluru Police, who have been tracking the source of terror group Islamic State’s (IS) tweets, visited Mysuru as part of the ongoing investigation into it, on Friday.

DCP (Law and Order) A N Rajanna told Deccan Herald, “It was learnt that the Bengaluru Police came down to Mysuru as part of the investigation into the IS tweets originating from the State capital. However, the investigators did not inform us either prior to or after the visit”. According to unconfirmed sources, the visiting team went to a neighbouring district, the details of which is kept under wraps. The State police are on their toes after a British channel reached Mehdi Masroor Biswas in Bengaluru after he was allegedly found handling the twitter account in favour of IS.
