Zilla Panchayat Vice President K R Anandappa directed the officials to complete the work on Anganwadi and Veterinary Centre buildings at the earliest.
During the standing committee meeting at the Zilla Panchayat on Tuesday, he expressed his displeasure over the inordinate delay in works taken up by the Nirmithi Kendra.
He also pointed out that the work on the Shuddha Ganga drinking water unit in Kadur and Tarikere is not up to the mark. The problem should be rectified at the earliest as there is a shortage of drinking water in the region, he added.
A delegation will meet the chief minister and will place a request for the release of special grants for the Zilla Panchayat, to appoint medical staff in the rural region.
Members G N Vijaykumar Gunasagara, Renukamma Nataraj, K G Radha and Kavitha Lingaraju were present at the meeting.
