Urging for stern action against a doctor, whose negligence they claimed to be responsible for the death of a woman patient at Mallegowda Public Hospital in Chikkamagaluru City, relatives of the patient staged a protest in front of the hospital on Thursday. They meanwhile urged the government to provide modern equipment to the hospital.
Fathima(25), resident of Gowrikaluve Layout was admitted to hospital on Wednesday, owing to illness.
The doctor who examined the patient recommended for a X-ray test. But, as electricity supply was not there even after five pm, the doctor suggested that the patient should be taken to Hassan.
