In a major reshuffle, the state government on Tuesday transferred five IPS officers.
R Harishekaran will head the traffic division of the city police as the new additional commissioner of police. Hitendra, who was serving in that position since May 2016, is transferred without a new posting.
Ajay Hilori, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East division), is posted to KSRP as the Commander of the First Battalion.
Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad, who was waiting for the posting, has replaced Hilori.
K A Annamalai, SP of Chikkamagaluru, will be the new DCP of Bengaluru South. Harish Pandey is the new SP of Chikkamagaluru district. Sharanappa was transferred without a new position.
