A nine-year-old girl was killed in a leopard attack in Devalapura village of Kampli taluk, Ballari district on Tuesday. This is the second such death in a span of 15 days.
The deceased has been identified as Jayasudha, a Class IV student.
The leopard attacked the girl when she was in the farm with her mother. The wild cat fled the spot after workers in the farm threw stones on it.
A grievously injured Jayasudha died on the way to Kampli hospital.
