Campaign against plastic use on Nov 24

Eco Be Green, Mangalore, in association with Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti will organise a campaign against plastic bags usage, by distributing free cloth carry bags, at Ocean Pearl, in Mangalore on November 24.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, Eco Be Green Co founder Ashwath Hegde said that Minister for Muzrai, Ports and Inland Water Transport Kota Srinivas Poojary and Manipal University former vice-chancellor Dr B M Hegde will be the chief guests. MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik and Sahyadri Educational Institutions Chairman Manjunath Bhandary will be the guest of honour.

Co Founder Ananth Prabhu said that the programme has been organised to educate people about the ill-effects of plastic to environment. Our aim and objective is to make the coastal region plastic-free.

The Eco Be Green will distribute eco friendly reusable cotton carry bags.  About 50,000 to One lakh carry bags will be distributed freely to malls, cinema theatres, petrol pumps, temples, college campuses, railway stations, bus stands. This will be continued for three months.
