Floodlit sports at MMC and RI

The matches are held as part of the Floodlit intra-college sporting competitions between different batches of students to encourage doctors-to-be to participate in sports.

MMC and RI student, Swaroop said that inaugural volleyball match is a tradition in which the hosts play their rivals from JSS Medical College (JSSMC). MMC and RI beat JSS MC 26-24, 15-25, 25-22.


In football, 12 teams were divided into four groups. Two teams each from the 2005 and 2006, one team each from 2007, 2008, 2009, and newly entered 2010 batch are set to fight it out in the quarterfinals.

Ganesha Premier League

Ganesha Premier league on the lines of the Indian Premier League have also been set up. The teams led by Shibi, Gopinath, Naveen and Biradar have entered the semi-finals.
The most valuable players with the highest bidding points are Monish, Karthik, Chethan Kumar and Kasthuri.

Other sports such as Kabbadi, Tug of War, Table Tennis and Lagori are also being held.
AoL basic course

The Art of Living (AoL) Foundation is organising a basic course from September 14 to 19. A free introductory talk on September 12 will be held at 6.30 pm.

The course will be held both in the morning and evening between 6 and 8.30 and also between 11 am and 1.30 pm. For further details contact 98459 63387.
