Bantwal police arrested three more youth for allegedly threatening Congress-JD(S) candidate from DK Lok Sabha constituency Mithun M Rai with death, and also abusing him.
The incident reportedly occurred during BJP's 'Vijayotsava' celebrations at Badakabail in Bantwal on May 23. The arrested were identified as Preetham, Karunakar and Mokshith.
With this, the number of arrested has increased to six. After the video in which Bajrang Dal activists are seen issuing death threats and abusing Rai went viral police had arrested Nishanth, Sachin and Karthik.
The police had booked case under sections 143, 144, 504, 506, 505 (1) (C), 153 (A), 149 of IPC. The investigation is in progress.
