JOIN USFifteen flood victims, who were arrested for allegedly assaulting Tahsildar Mahesh at the relief centre in Valmiki Bhavan, were granted bail by the Kushalnagar court on Wednesday.
The flood victims were accused of picking up a fight and manhandling the tahsildar while he was marking the attendance of victims to evict the illegal inmates at a relief centre on September 19. Based on a complaint filed by the injured Tahsildar, the police had arrested 15 people, including Sanju, Thimmappa, Sanjiva, P S Manjunath, Chitra, Nisha, M M Mohan, Vasanth Kumar, Siddu, Annappa, Manjunath, Anand, P V Roshan of Ratemane Colony of Makkandur, C K Tej Kumar of Kadagadalu village and Adish Kumar of Tatibane paisari in Haleri.
When the case came for hearing, Judge Nataraj granted bail to all the 15 flood victims.
